Acceptable Use
Last updated: May 2026
Treasures of Yesteryear is for documenting belongings, heirlooms, recipes, household items, family memories, garage sales, insurance inventory, and downsizing. These guidelines keep the space respectful and safe for the families who use it.
What this app is for
- Cataloging family heirlooms, antiques, collectibles, and estate items
- Preparing items for garage sales or local resale
- Private home inventory for insurance and downsizing
- Saving recipes, family stories, and provenance for future generations
What is not allowed
To keep this a calm, family-friendly space, the following are not permitted. Content or accounts that violate these rules will be removed, and serious violations may be reported to authorities.
- Sexual content, nudity, or adult services
- Sexual exploitation or trafficking of any kind — and absolutely no child sexual abuse material (CSAM), which will be reported
- Images of minors in inappropriate or unsafe contexts
- Harassment, threats, bullying, or targeted abuse
- Hate content directed at people based on who they are
- Illegal goods, services, or activities
- Scams, fraud, deceptive listings, or fake reviews
- Impersonating another person, family, or organization
- Uploading other people's private or sensitive data (ID documents, medical records, financial details) without their permission
- Automated scraping, bulk abuse, or attempts to interfere with the service
- Personal ads, dating, or social-matching features
Your responsibility
- You're responsible for content you upload.
- Only upload photos, videos, and documents you have the right to use.
- Respect the privacy and dignity of people who appear in your uploads.
- Review AI-generated descriptions and handwriting transcriptions before relying on them.
Reporting a problem
Every public item page has a Report listing link. Use it to flag inappropriate content, suspected scams, privacy concerns, or illegal items. Reports go to the site admins for review.
Privacy by default
Items are private by default. Family history, provenance, insurance details, serial numbers, handwritten notes, and home inventory entries are never shown publicly. Only items you explicitly mark for sale and set to public visibility appear in the marketplace.
If these rules are broken
We may remove content, suspend or close accounts, limit automated activity, and — where required — cooperate with authorities. Our aim is to be fair, but firm, so that families can keep using this space with confidence.
