Why Treasures of Yesteryear Exists
Every family carries a quiet library of memories — objects, photographs, recipes, letters, and recordings that hold more meaning than they first appear to.
Treasures of Yesteryear was created to help families preserve the stories behind those meaningful belongings before they're lost to time. A handwritten recipe card, a grandparent's voice, a photograph with no name on the back — these things carry pieces of who we are, and once the person who remembers them is gone, the story often goes too.
A long-term project
This isn't a product built for growth charts. It's a long-term project focused on preserving family history and making it easier for future generations to understand where they came from. We're building it slowly and thoughtfully, one feature at a time.
What we hope it becomes
- A calm, private place to keep the things that matter
- A way to attach voices, stories, and context to belongings
- Something families can pass down as easily as they'd pass down a photo album
- A small counterweight to how much is being lost in a fast, disposable world
We'd love your feedback
The best way to help right now isn't money — it's honesty. If something feels off, or you wish it did something it doesn't, please tell us. Every note shapes where this goes next.
